Sreelatha Menon Is No More!

Sreelatha Menon, the Mollywood actress, passed away yesterday night at Government Medical College Hospital in Trivandrum. The actress had been suffering from an atypical bone disease. Sreelatha was known for her roles in Kauthuka and Perumthachan. After her husband had died, a few years back, she applied for the financial assistance from the Kerala Government. Oommen Chandy, the then CM of Kerala extended her with the financial assistance and the hospital charges, after analysing her medical ailment. AMMA, the Association of the Malayalam Movie Artists, has also helped her. She has acted in more than twenty films and a lot of serials. The 51-year-old actress was the title winner of Miss Kerala in 1985. Sreelatha is survived by three children. Our heartfelt condolences to her family! May her soul rest in peace!
