Mammootty is the megastar of Kerala Cine field. He is now bracing up to become a producer again. Reports are rife that Mammootty is becoming a producer again for the upcoming flick, Streetlights. The movie is a directorial venture by cinematographer turned director Shamdat. As per the director, the actor immediately consented to the project when the director turned up with the script. The movie will have Mammootty in a unique role which is in stark contrast from his recent roles.
Interestingly, the central role in the movie was not penned down for Mammootty. But, after completion of the screenplay, the writer cum director opined that megastar Mammootty would be the ideal choice to do the lead role in the movie. Anyhow, the director refused to divulge further details regarding Mammootty’s role in the movie. Shamdat also made the clarification that Streetlights is not an entire thriller, but a sort of stylish entertainer. The movie schedule will begin on May 24th at Kochi.
