Filmmaker turned actor Roopesh Peethambaran has dropped his weight drastically by 20kg. The actor has worked out hard to shed his extra weight for his next venture as a villain. Yes, Roopesh will be seen as an antagonist in Oru Mexican Aparatha directed by Tom Emmatty. Roopesh says that he was 98 kg while shooting the promo. Initially, he shed a few kg and was astonished to see himself on the screen. He felt embarrassed for his earlier look and started doing exercises and follow the diet. However, the hero Tovino Thomas and the director told him that they are not concerned about his look but his performance. However, Tovino introduced Roopesh to his trainer, who helped him to reduce the weight within two and a half months. Two hours of cardio exercises and two hours of compound exercises helped him to get the lean structure, says the actor. Roopesh states that his wife supported him well to follow the diet and she is one of the reasons for his healthy physique.
