Buddhanum Chaplinum Chirikkunu is the upcoming film directed by “R. Sarath.” The shooting of the film started in 2014 in the centenary year of Charlie Chaplin and it was ready for the release by the year end. However, it was hibernating in the box for a couple of years due to various issues. In the film, actor “Indrans” play the lead role and “Praveena” pairs him. Indrans pays tribute to the legendary comic actor Charlie Chaplin in this movie. He plays a comic actor named Indraguptan in the film. Indraguptan is a part time theatre and cinema actor, who wishes to enact Charlie Chaplin, who is his matinee idol. Director Sarath says that he is happy for the film’s release after a couple of years. The film is a mixture of tears and laughter like that of Charlie’s life. The character Indraguptan struggles in the life after his father left his family all alone. Besides Indrans and Praveena, the film has Sona Nair and Nedumudi Venu in pivotal roles.
