The scenario was such that the Kannada film industry was strongly against the dubbing of other language movies in Kannada. Now, the protest seems to be slowly receding. A Tamil movie was screened sometime back and now the English movie Spiderman Home Coming is hitting the silver screens. The trailer has been dubbed in Kannada and it has provoked positive response.

. The trailer happens to be for the dubbed version. It is to be observed what the protestors would do during the time of release. As a matter of fact, the Tamil dubbed version was not allowed for screening in Bangalore.
