Priyamani says, "Countless dogs and cats suffer on the streets and some are waiting in animal shelters for lack of good homes. We can help ensure as many of them get good homes by sterilizing our companion dogs and cats, instead of contributing to the overpopulation crisis". According to PETA, it is better to find good homes for the animals, instead of leaving them on the streets. One unaltered female dog could give birth to 67,000 puppies in six years and an unaltered cat could deliver 3,70,000 kittens in seven years, says a report by PETA.
