Here is how they came out with numbers in the movie. When the first draft of the movie emerged, the movie Huliraaya was a movie without songs. The story narration was rapid and the songs would slow down the movie, he felt. One fine day, when they were amidst a jungle, which is located in Hebri, they came across youth with painted faces. They were singing and dancaing. The lyrics of the song were strange. The lyrics did not sound like Kannada also.

There was trace of English in the songs. The director could recall his grandmother singing songs with English in it. But she was not aware of the traces of English in it. Although the British people left the country many decades ago, the language is still among us. Thus came the Kanglish song in the movie. The song is easy to sing although it might be the first time the song is sung. The number happened to be the first one in Huliraaya. The other numbers in the movie followed and it is the music director who has to be thanked. Some of the scenes in the movie have been converted into moments of song. As an outcome, Huliraaya now has five songs when originally it had none.
