Tom Petty is one among the noted musicians who is known widely in Bangalore. One fine day, Bangalore woke up to a rude shock as Tom Petty did at the age of 66 due to a cardiac arrest. It was indeed a tumult to the citizens as most of them grew up listening to his songs. For majority of the singers and lyricist, his songs were very unique. Some among the singers of city have recollected how doing the covers by him had a special influence on the audience. Best Kept Secret is a band headed by Behram Siganporia. He conveyed how Tom will occupy a place in their hearts for one reason. He said that one among his first covers happens to be an acoustic version of Free Falling which the band relayed online. It is to be noted that his songs and lyrics happen to be an inspiration to any of the singers or song writers.
He said that he loves the songs Learning to Fly and Into the Great Wide Open. Also singer Carlton Braganza admits to singing the number Free Falling and I won’t back down at GIgws. He said that it was disappointing to have missed meeting him during his last years. There is the influence of his numbers on majority of the masses. He will remaina good influence for many singers for years to come. Also, he added that American Girl will occupy indelible place in his heart.
