The Supreme Court pronounced its verdict in Ayodhya Ram Janma Bhumi – Babri Masjid case. It pronounced the verdict that the controversial land in Ayodhya of 2.77 acres should be handed over to the Hindu movements. The Muslim movements failed to provide the essential documents regarding the Masjid. As per the travel records from the past, the Hindus had been worshipping in a controversial place even before the British entry. The Muslims should be provided 5 acres of land as an alternate and it should be confirmed by the central government, stated the judges. The Supreme Court permits to construct Ram Temple.
Supreme Court also appreciates the mediators Justice Kalifulla, Sriram Panchu and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar for their effort to settle the issue. The verdict is unanimously pronounced by the five-judge SC bench that includes Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Justice SA Bobde, Justice Chandrchud, Justice Abdul Nazeer and Justice Ashok Bhushan.
