Actor and producer Saif Ali Khan Saif Ali Khan is a film celebrity born to actress >> Read More... said he won’t be surprise if his upcoming film Phantom that revolves around the Mumbai’s 26/11 attacks, gets banned in Pakistan.
Saif made this comment as a reaction to the petition of the 26/11 mastermind and the JuD (Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed in a Lahore court, as they demand to ban the release of Kabir Khan’s political thriller film in Pakistan.
The Phantom team had a press conference today to address the issue. They said, they always thought that the film will be banned in the country because of some specific topics which Pakistan bans without even watching the film or reading any review. The director also mentioned that they also donned some films that have passed in Pakistan but those films have different stories. Films like Phantom, which is quite realistic, will definitely get banned in the country. He adds that when a film has a political backdrop, chances are, it won’t be screened in the country.
Phantom is all set to release on August 28. The film was based on the book “Mumbai Avenger”, which was written by Hussain Zaidi that deals on the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai and the worldwide terrorism.
