Nila Madhab Panda', who is waiting for the release of his directorial film, Kaun Kitney Pani Mein, is very happy that he cast
Radhika Apte whom he called as the replica of
Nandita Das in his film. He said, "I wanted someone with raw look for the role of Paaro like Shabana Azmi, Smita Patil and Nandita Das.” Nila is very happy that the actress is a replica of Nandita Das with the same beauty and her knowledge to everything that seems so right.
The National Award winning director also said that he wanted Radhika as a lead because she can fit into the Odisha culture. He adds that he first noticed the actress in the 2011 Hindi film, Shor in the City and she started to like her but it was after seeing her act in a Bengali film that made the director decide that Radhika will play as Paaro.
Kaun Kitney Paani Mein is set against the backdrop of Odisha. It revolves around the two villages battling over a water reservoir for quite so long. The film aims to make the viewers aware of the future water crisis and cleaniliness in rural areas where the biggest part of India’s population dwells.
