The caller seems to have demanded Rs 50 lakhs from the filmmaker, and he threatened Mahesh Bhatt to part away with money. Mahesh Bhatt assumed that the calls were pranks, but soon he started receiving messages from a person who said that he was a leader of a gang. In the messages, he threatened that he would fire bullets on his daughter and wife if the money is not given. Also, the caller sent the message of a bank account number into which the actor had to deposit the money. Later, the police cornered the culprit, and he admitted that he forwarded threats to Mahesh Bhatt because he was in need of money.
