Yami Gautam

Yami Gautam is a Hindi television and movie actress, who is best known for her roles in the Hindi movies such as ‘Vicky Donor’ (2012), ‘Total Siyapaa’ (2014) & ‘Action Jackson’ (2014). Her role of ‘Ashima Roy’ in the film ‘Vicky Donor’ was described as an excellent debut by a newcomer by the critics all over. The film was a low budget project, but it turned out to be a major success for the production house of the film, which belonged to John Abraham. Most recently she was seen doing lead roles in the movies such as ‘Total Siyapaa’ & ‘Action Jackson’, in which her performance was widely acclaimed.

She was very well received by the audiences due to her roles in these movies. She was already a famous face in the world of commercial advertisements through her long association with the fairness cream brand ‘Fair & Lovely’ and some other popular brands. She belongs to the Punjabi city of Chandigarh and in her childhood, she always aspired to join the esteemed Indian Administrative Services. But due to a paradigm shift, she ultimately ended up choosing acting as her career.

She initially worked on television and played some very popular roles in some immensely popular television series such as ‘Chand Ke Paar Chalo’ (2008), ‘Raajkumar Aaryyan’ (2008), ‘Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam’ (2009), ‘Meethi Choori No 1’ (2010) & ‘Kitchen Champion’ (2010). In ‘Chand Ke Paar Chalo’ she played the role of ‘Sana’, who is a middle class girl and is the best friend of the female protagonist of the series. She was seen playing herself in the ‘Kitchen Champion Season 1’ as a contestant. In the recent years she has also completed some projects of south. She was liked by the audiences all over in her TV avatar and the same kind of chemistry she is sharing with viewers when she has stepped into the mainstream Hindi cinema.
