According to Female First, Sharon was hospitalised in 2001 and had a bulging of blood vessels in the brain. This left her with lots of side effects that were rather long lasting. The now 57-year-old actor had a massive brain hemorrhage for nine days.

She lost partial hearing in her right ear for some time and could not read for two years! She had lost all feelings in her left leg up to her knee and could not work at the beginning of her recovery. She could not write her own name for quite some time. And she stuttered. And all this was because of an aneurysm!
