Queens Of Katwe- First Look Is Enthralling

A part of the audience still had faith on Mira Nair’s abilities after her failures with films like “The Reluctant Fundamentalist” and “Amelia”, and they will be proud of themselves(and her) to comeback with “Queens of Katwe”. Queens of Katwe is based on a true story of a champion chess player of Uganda, Phiona Mutesi. Her role is being characterised by debutant Madina Nalwanga while Oscar winning actress Lupita Nyong’o will be playing the mother of Phiona. The film, where David Oyelowo portrays a role of a missionary, releases on September 23. The release date somehow indicates that it will be eyeing some of the major International Film Festivals, and also the 2016-17 awards. Inspired by Tim Crother’s book, the film looks beautiful and inspirational.
