Let's look how our Tollywood celebrities participate in charitable events and donates for the needy.

1. Mahesh Babu

The Tollywood's Prince Mahesh Babu is well known for his charitable works. Few reports in media says that, 30% of Mahesh Babu’s income caters to the charity work he undertakes. He is the goodwill ambassador of Heal-a-Child Foundation. He is also involved in social welfare activities. The latest information is he has planned to donate 1.5 crore to Heal-a-Child foundation. His wife Namrata also takes care of many old-age homes, child health related NGOs. That’s an appreciable effort from Mahesh Babu and his wife. He also donated 25 lakhs for the welfare of Hudhud cyclone victims. Most of his philanthropic activities are unpublicized because he prefers them to be so.

2. Pawan Kalyan

The Tollywood's Power star Pawan Kalyan being the most renowned and most loved actor of Telugu industry is a true inspiration when it comes to charitable activity. Pawan Kalyan donated a huge amount for many social activities. He has also donated to various NGOs like orphanages and old age homes. He has donated Rs.50 lakhs for Cyclone Hudhud victims.

3. Prabhas

The Young Rebel star Prabhas has recently donated Rs. 5 lakhs to 'Jesus old age home'. The image of this cheque is being circulated in social media. He also donated Rs.20 lakh for the hudhud victims relief fund. He also calls his fans to take part in helping the people affected.

4. Allu Arjun

After his hit film Bunny Allu Arjun has donated Rs.1 lakh towards CARE Little Hearts Foundation. He also donated the money he earned after participating in Brain of Andhra (MAA TV program) to Little Hearts Foundation. The CARE hospital management expressed gratitude for Allu Arjun's orientation of charity. He donated Rs. 20 lakh for the Hudhud victims, in that major part of his donation to be spent for the resurrection of fishermen by buying boats and fisher-nets, etc.

5. Chiranjeevi

Megastar Chiranjeevi is known for his charity programs. In 1998He founded the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust .His Trust includes Blood and Eye Banks. The trust has made thousands of blood donations and eye donations. Chiranjeevi has donated Rs.5 lakhs to construct a building for handicapped in Uppalaguptam village in East Godavari district.

6. JR N.T.R

Jr. NTR donated 20 lakhs to CM's Relief Fund to take up relief operations for hudhud cyclone victims in Andhra Pradesh. This kind hearted hero donated Rs.5 lakhs to his fan's family who has died in a heavy stampede during Baadshah(2013) audio launch.

7. Ram Charan Teja

Ram Charan Teja along with his wife Upsana donates to a NGO called Save A Childs Heart. This good hearted couples also insisted to the guests and relatives of their wedding to donate for the same NGO instead of gifts for their wedding. He also donated Rs.10 lakhs for Hudhud relief fund.

8. Nagarjuna Akkineni

Nagarjuna serves as the brand ambassador for HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns. Along with his wife Amala , he is the co-founder of Blue cross of Hyderabad. He also pledged to donate his organs. He will be the face of the massive campaign drive of Organ Donation initiated by Jeevandan, a government institution, and a private hospital group.

9. Ravi Teja

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja also being noted donating Rs.10 lakhs for CM relief fund.

10. Nandamuri Balakrishna

Balakrishna fan association, NBK Helping Hands has taken on the responsibility of providing education to over 1,000 destitute children across the state.

11. Venkatesh

Though this veteran actor is associated with many services and causes he doesn't like to publicize it too much. He also donated a huge amount for CM relief fund.
