David Dhawan is an Indian Director born on 16 August, 1951. He has directed 42 films and is a member of Dhawan family. He won two Filmfare Awards for Best Director. Some of his hits are Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, and Biwi No.1.

Shola Aur Shabnam is an Indian romantic comedy film released in 1992. In this movie, Bali, the brother of a gangster named Kali Baba, likes Divya when he sees her for the first time and wants her to be his by hook or by crook. But Divya is in love with Karan and plans to marry each other.
