1. Shaheed

'Shaheed' is a movie based on the freedom fighter Bhagat Singh's life. His uncle Ajit Singh was a freedom fighter, and his mysterious disappearance makes a strong impression on little Bhagat Singh. After growing up, he joins the team of freedom fighter, Chandrashekhar Azad. They did many revolutionary works against the British government. Bhagat Singh and his friend caught by the Britishers for exploding a bomb in British Parliament as an act of protest. After that Bhagat Singh was hanged by the British Government. His death brings a big revolution in India.

2. Purab Aur Paschim

The film tells the story of an Indian young man Bharat. After independence, Bharat went to London for higher studies. In London, he meets his father’s friend and falls in love with his daughter Preeti. Bharat was a patriotic person, so he promotes his country’s culture and moral values in London. Preeti want to marry with Bharat but don’t want to live in India.Bharat confessed her to come India and being successful to fill her heart with love for India. Manoj Kumar made this movie because he thinks that Indians should feel proud for their Indianness.

3. Border

This movie is based on the Indo-Pak war of 1971. The film shows the struggle of Major Kuldip Singh Chandpuri and his battalion at Longewala (Rajasthan). Pakistani arms attacked on his post at night. There were only 120 soldiers in his battalion to save their post. Many soldiers died in the attack, but they fight till the day and defend their post with the help of Airforce.

4. Lagaan

The movie is the story of 19th Century’s India when it was under the British Rule. A village boy Bhuvan takes stand against the Britishers for taking high taxes from the villagers. He accepts a challenge from a British officer to play a cricket match with them. Bhuvan makes the team and learns cricket from a British woman Elizabeth. After that, they play the match and won the challenge.

5. Upkar

It is the story of a farmer Bharat. Bharat sacrifices everything to educate his brother Puran. Puran cheats his brother because of some greedy persons. After losing everything, Bharat joins the Indian Army because of his love for the country. Bharat loses both of his hands in a battle. After realizing his mistake, Puran feels guilty and return to his brother.

6. Rang De Basanti

The story revolves around a British filmmaker Sue McKinley and six young Indians. Sue came to India for making documentary on freedom fighters of India. Daljit and his friends join the team of Sue for helping her. Later, they come to know about a big scam in the Defense ministry. They decide to punish the corrupt people and expose the scam.

7. Swades

The story of the film revolves around a NASA scientist Mohan Bhargava. Mohan come to India to take his Kewari Amma with him and fall in love with a village girl Gita. Mohan helps Gita in solving many issues of the village. When he decides to go back to US, Amma and Gita refuse to come with him because they don’t want to leave their country. Mohan went with a heavy heart and felt the love for his country in his heart. After realizing his mistake, he returns back to India.

8. Lakshya

The story revolves around an irresponsible and aimless boy Karan. Karan loves a girl named Romi but she refuses his proposal and makes him realize that he needs a goal in his life. Karan joins Indian Army and struggles for being a good soldier. Later, he gets promoted to a Captain of a battalion during the war. Crossing many hurdles, his battalion wins the post and Karan finally gets the 'Lakshya' of his life.

9. Airlift

‘Airlift’ is a movie based on the real incident of 1990's Airlift of Indians from Kuwait. The film tells the story of Ranjit Katyal, a Kuwait businessman of Indian origin. Ranjit don’t like to call himself an Indian. One day Iraq president Saddam Hussein occupies Kuwait and starts torturing the people of Kuwait. Ranjit finally remembers about his country and understands that now only his country can help him. Ranjit struggles for saving the lives of all Indians and becomes successful when all 170,000 Indiansare airlifted from Amman.

10. LOC Kargil

It is the real story of Kargil war 1999. The film starts with the attack of Pakistan army on Kargil. All the battalions are going to take place in Kargil. They face many hurdles on their path. The soldiers don’t know that they will return or not, so they remember the memories of their family members. The war takes place and India loses many soldiers. Finally, Indian Army wins the battle and captures all their posts.
