Shiju Kataria

Shiju Kataria is an Indian TV and movie actress. Kataria is the only child of her parents. She is famous for portraying various roles in Television as well as films. She was born in the small village of Fazilka in Punjab. Shiju is best known as Smriti in Star Plus serial Behne. She completed her initial schoolings on Fazilka and later moved to Chandigarh. She did her higher studies in Chandigarh. During her college days, she was selected for Miss Catwalk Chandigarh in a contest. This marked her entry into the Bollywood industry after which she moved to Mumbai where her struggle and hard work began. Finally, her work was recognized by Gulzar Sahib, who chose her as a lead in two movies directed by Gulzar Sahib himself. After completing her projects, Kataria understood the importance of a performer and became a theater artist.

She played the lead in a big movie directed by Kundan Shah namely Teen Behne. She also portrayed the role of Manoj Bajpai’s sister in Das Tola. She also played the role of the young daughter of Nana Patekar in It’s My Life. Boney Kapoor is the producer of this film. She also belongs to the category of actors who featured in serials after movies. Till date she has worked on almost 70 serials, add films and regional movies. She was nominated two times for Star Pariwar Awards. Kataria was also the part of Mohi-Ek Khwab Ke Khilne Ki Kahani. It is a soap opera that aired on Star Plus in 2015.The show is about a young tribal girl named Mohi. She rose to fame from Hats off production’s Behenein.

She has also done a role of a Muslim girl who gets married to a thief family in Life Ok’s Savdhaan India. She was then seen in Sony Entertainment TV’s crime thriller series called Crime Patrol-Dastak. Currently, she is busy with a Hindi and a Gujarati movie as a lead actor.
