Palagummi Padmaraju aka, P. Padmaraju is a Telugu writer and poet. He was born on the 24th of June 1915 in Tirupatipuram, west Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. After his graduation, he started his career as a teacher. He worked in the government P.R college, Kakinada as a science lecturer for the period from 1939-1952. He then started publishing his works and the first published one among them was a short story called Subbi. He wrote about sixty short stories. Some of the novels published by him was batikina college, nalla regadi, ramarajyaniki rahadaari and rendo ashokudi munalla palana.
He also contributed to the Telugu cinema industry by writing dialogues and songs for movies.
