Aparna Malladi has a Master's in Molecular Biology from The University of Tennessee, Memphis. Aparna Malladi is the recipient of the Film Arts Foundation's STAND grant for new directors and the Serpent Source Foundation for Women's Grant. She has attended the Squaw Valley Screenwriting program in 2006 with mentor Christopher Monger. She was in a Diabetes Prevention PSA. Her first filmmaking job was as Art Director for April in the Morning of Erin Ploss Campoamor.
