Sumana Sri

A well-known face for the Telugu television audience, Sumana Sri is a television actress, anchor, and dubbing artist who works mainly in the Telugu language. Sumana Sri was born and brought up in Hyderabad. She comes from an orthodox family. She has an elder brother. Sumana Sri completed her schooling at Keys High School in Hyderabad and pursued her intermediate education from Villa Marie College for Women. She finished her Bachelor’s degree in Math at Geetanjali Degree College. Being a bright student, Sumana Sri had aspirations of becoming an IAS or IPS officer. But she had to give up on her dream as she had a busy schedule and couldn’t find time to attend classes.

While doing her intermediate studies, Director Beeram Mastan Rao’s wife Naveena Lakshmi suggested Sumana Sri act. Reluctant at the beginning, but gradually she started enjoying the process of acting, anchoring, and dubbing. Sumana Sri debuted into the television industry with the Gemini TV serial Priya Sakhi. In the show, she played the role of actress Priya’s friend. Post her successful debut, Sumana Sri anchored the shows like Success Guide and Business Tracks on Gemini TV, where she hosted successful people and business personalities.
