Nimmagadda Prasad is an Indian businessman and producer. He was born on October 11, 1961 in Andhra Pradesh. Nimmagadda is well-known for his contributions in the pharmaceutical and television fields. Nimmagadda through the Nimmagadda Foundation, engages in fundraising efforts. Nimmagadda graduated from Babu Jagjivanram Govt. College in Hyderabad with a BSc in science and later went to the University of Delhi for his MSc at the Institute of Management Technology in Ghaziabad, where he got a postgraduate diploma in management. Nimmagadda began his career as a business executive after receiving master's degrees in Physics and Business Administration.
Nimmagadda began working in 1984 as a management trainee at the Indian Molasses Company in Delhi. He then became a salesman at Rhone Poulenc Chemicals and a general manager of marketing at Vorin Laboratories in 1993. He continued his efforts, and in 1995 he got the position of managing director at the company. Nimmagadda was appointed Senior Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer later on. Nimmagadda in 2006 bought Maa television from Nagarjuna, the channel's major shareholder and transformed it into a leading Telugu General Entertainment Channel network.
