PVNS Rohit

PVNS Rohit, born on 22nd December 1991 in the city of pearls, Hyderabad in the state of Telangana, India, is a playback singer and songwriter. Rohit’s journey of music began from the age of five while looking up to his guru and idol Dr. Vyzarsu Balasubramanyam. He is skilled in Ghazal and well trained in classical music. He was taught light music by K. Ramachari. Rohit took lessons in Carnatic music when he was around ten.

He has an exceptional grip on Classical Hindustani music and believes that learning Classical Hindustani music allows one to sing all kinds of music smoothly. Rohit has worked with several noted Telugu music directors and performed on various stage shows, which made him popular with a huge fan base. He sang for well-known composers like MM Keeravani, Mickey J Meyer, Thaman, and Sai Kartheek.

He has been a social media sensation for long. The artist has his own YouTube channel with a big following of his channel. He has appeared in E.TV 's ‘Samajavaragamana’, a musical extravaganza and also in Gemini TV's ‘Ragaala Pallakilo’. Rohit had been one of the Top 3 finalists in season 9 of Indian Idol, where he impressed the judges with his amazing singing ability. Before his auditions for Indian Idol, his mother was operated for a Brain tumor. His unique desire to sing in every single native language of India began with his performance on the stage of Indian Idol. In one of the Indian Idol episode, he had revealed that he has a problem of stammering while talking.

The condition does not trouble him while singing whatsoever. He sang the song titled ‘Gundegilli’ in the film ‘Kanulu Kanulanu Dochayante’. He visited SRM University as a guest for the fest, SRM Milan, in Chennai on 6th March 2020. Rohit was also invited to NIT, Raipur as a Guest for one of their fests. The singer was live with Red FM Telugu, interviewed by RJ Sudhaa on 5th May 2020.
