Pranathy Sharma

Pranathy Sharma better known as Pranathi Sharma Gangaraju; born 19 April, 1987 is an Indian film actress. She was born in Hanamkonda in Warangal but raised in Vijayawada before she moved to the US. Pranathy won the title Winner of Miss India USA 2014-2015. Several other of her achievements are Winner of Miss India USA 2014-15 'Beautiful Smile' Title, Winner of Miss India GA 2013 "Miss Congeniality' Title. It is a matter of honor for India to have Ms. Pranathy as the first 19-year-old woman to win the title. It must be noted that she is also the first Telugu girl to be crowned Miss India USA in the last 20 years. She has started her career in the Tamil film industry. Gangaraju won critical acclaim for her performance in Gambeeram (2004).

She later became apparent in Kannada and Malayalam language films as well.[2]Her father, Jose Gangaraju, is a Businessman and her mother, Ratnaprabha, is a home maker. In September 2011, she married to Dr. Sivarajan. Ms. Gangaraju made her acting debut in Jayaraj’s Malayalam movie 4 the people (2004). In an interview, Gangaraju said,” My goals are to get into the film industry and be part of Indian/American films. At the same time, I would like to do charity work for social causes.” Dancing, singing, writing, and swimming are some of the activities she likes to do in her free time.While Speaking to DC from the US, Mr. Ram Gangaraju informed, “She worked hard to keep herself fit. She speaks Telugu well and is a great Kathak dancer.” Year 2005 is considered as most prolific for her.

During this period she appeared in a Kannada film titled Santosha as well as in the Sathyaraj - starrer Vanakkam Thalaiva.[5] She was reported to quit the film industry soon after failing to garner further offers. On 15 August 2016, during the 70th independence day celebration she was at the forefront of IACAs 300ft long flag walk. Out of 54 Twitter Tweets, one of her tweet dated 12 July, 2017 tells us that Ms. Pranathy is a fan of when she said,’ Prabhas is my favorite hero in TFI, fan of him since varsham.” She Announced her official logo as a part of ‘winner 2 atsr’ campaign-tweeted on her twitter handle. She also represented USA in the 24th Annual Miss India Worldwide Pageant held in Goa in June, 2016. Pranathy is truly beautiful inside and outside. She is down to earth with no arrogance. “Acting has always been my passion. When I was a kid, I wanted to be everything, instead of choosing one career. I realized this can only happen in acting, because every character has a life and they have goals.” - Pranathy Being grateful and paying homage to her parents, Pranathy said, “I would like to thank my mom and dad for believing in me and knowing that I could make it.”
