Karunya Ram has been in the entertainment industry for nearly seven years. She is one actress who thinks that an actor should aspire big. She doesn’t believe on complacency and being content with small laurels. She has once revealed that one has to have high goals to move ahead in the industry.

When she entered the film industry the actress signed all the movies that she came across in Sandalwood. But after Matttondu Madhuvena she got offers from Tamil film industry and hence she shifted her attention there. She did a couple of movies in Kollywood including Kannakol and Pongadi Neengalum Unga Kaadhalum. At that time she wanted to return to Sandalwood. While she was thinking of doing another Tamil venture Vajrakaya happened. She shared screenspace with Shivarajkumar in the movie which was a commercial hit. Karunya felt that was a perfect comeback wherein she worked with legendary Shivanna.

In Vajrakaya Karunya had a meaty role. Karunya confessed that Shivanna made her feel comfortable during the shooting.

Karunya was offered to do a film when she was pursuing 12th standard but she declined. Karunya was enjoying with her friends in a coffee shop when a director saw her and asked her whether she can act. Karunya replied in the negative and asked him to consult her parents. Her parents also seconded her decision since they didn’t want her to miss her studies.

Karunya doesn’t hail from a filmi background. Her father was employed in a bank. Karunya completed her B.com and then entered into films. Later, this attractive girl pursued M.sc in Fashion Designing.

Karunya commenced her career with television. She had done some reality shows in Kannada.

Now this actress, who has high dreams, is participating in Big Boss Kannada Season 4 which is hosted by Sudeep.
