Shreayan Kapoor

Shreayan Kapoor, son of Jayasudha, made his debut in Telugu cinema with Vasu Manthena’s movie Basthi. Though the promotions of the movie went on well and expectations ran high, the movie couldn’t keep up with those expectations when it hit the screens. Basthi was a romantic entertainer movie in which Shreayan played the hero with Pragathi as the second lead. The critics pointed out that this was not a suitable movie that Jayasudha chose for her son to make his debut. The movie’s poster attracted some audience initially as the couple looked cute together, but they were disappointed after watching it and the directors couldn’t achieve the expected success. Shreayan was found not mature enough to give intense expressions as required for the scenes. The director didn’t allow Shreayan to explore his acting to the maximum, by not giving him any action sequences in the movie. He was, in a way typecast as a romantic hero in this movie. He could have done much better for his debut with a better script and more action sequences. Born on 25th March’1990, Shreayan was brought up in an acting background, his mother Jayasudha being an Indian film actress. Jayasudha married a producer Nitin kapoor, as she had many acquaintances in Bollywood. They have two children: Nihar and Shreayan. As she says, she never forced her decisions on her children and thus, when Shreayan told her that he wanted to become an actor, she supported him.

She was always involved in the shooting of Basthi and is ready to support him in his upcoming movies leaving behind the not so successful debut that Shreayan made. Though Shreayan made a mistake by debuting with a movie which bored the audience, he is looking forward to much better movies and opportunities to boost up his career now.
