Kanta Rao was born as Tadepalli Lakshmi Kanta Rao in the year 1923 in Andhra Pradesh. He was a film producer and actor in the Telugu film industry. He has acted in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi movies. He was also a film producer, who produced films under the banner Hyma films.
