Uppalapati Narayana Rao is an Indian writer, director, scriptwriter, and famous face in the Telugu television industry. He directed some well-known Telugu films such as Jaitra Yatra, Rakshana, Teerpu, Allari Police, Paathabasthi, Ooriki Monagaadu, Veedu Saamanyudu Kaadhu, Myna, Takkari Donga Chakkani Chukka, Simhada Guri, Yuva Rathna, Gnaapakam, Ala Modalaindhi, Anthaku Mondhu Aa Tharuvatha. He was born in Kakinada on July 12, 1958. His career started in 1979 as a theatre actor.
