Tirumal Reddy

Tirumal Reddy was born on June 15th, 1964, in Hyderabad. His father, Venkata Rao was a farmer, and his mother, Lakshmi Devi, was a housewife. He is the second among his siblings, with an elder brother and a younger sister. Reddy attended a local school in Hyderabad before entering in the Bachelor of Arts program at Osmania University. Reddy had a passion for filmmaking from very young age, so he became an assistant director in the Tollywood industry with some well-known directors. In addition to acting in a few movies, he practiced filmmaking, focusing on perfecting different skills. In 1995, he entered the world of directing with the film “ Pelli Sandadi Click to look into! >> Read More... ”, which achieved moderate box office success.

This was Reddy’s debut movie, followed by hits like “Nuvvu Naatho Emannavo”, “Maa Annayya Bangaram” etc. Reddy’s films often revolve around themes of love, family, and society, which set them apart. His films have been praised for their well-written characters, compelling plots, and above all, strong technical aspects. He has worked with some of the top actors of Telugu cinema including Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, and Venkatesh. Throughout his career, Reddy has received numerous awards in recognition of his work and contributions to the Telugu cinema. He is especially praised for promoting Telugu culture and language through his films.
