Tirumal Reddy was born on June 15th, 1964, in Hyderabad. His father, Venkata Rao was a farmer, and his mother, Lakshmi Devi, was a housewife. He is the second among his siblings, with an elder brother and a younger sister. Reddy attended a local school in Hyderabad before entering in the Bachelor of Arts program at Osmania University. Reddy had a passion for filmmaking from very young age, so he became an assistant director in the Tollywood industry with some well-known directors.
