M. S. Parthasarathy is an Indian film director, editor, and producer in the Indian film industry. He was born on 28 August 1924 and died on 29 April 1981. He was named “ Japan” because of his hardworking nature.
He was born in Chennai in the home of M.C Sada Gopal and Annapurani Ammal. He completed his schooling at a government high school. World War 2 affected the family’s financial situation, which made him enter the film industry. He started working at the age of 16, and with Rohini Pitures, he worked in both the Telugu and the Tamil industries. MSP Sarathy also worked as an editor for Niraparadhi (1951) and as an assistant editor in the Vanjam (1953) movie. He edited the famous Ondre Kumal movie and was on the editing team for the well-known drama Chanderlekha (1948).
In his directorial work, he directed one of the biggest blockbuster movies in Telugu, Errakota Veeradu, with Savithri and NT Rama Rao in the lead roles. He also directed Kataya Kalyanam, but this one was never released due to financial issues.
