Suthi Veerabhadra Rao is a Telugu actor from the East Godavari district. He is a popular theatre artist too. Being brought up in Vijayawada, he was interested in acting and did many theatrical plays. Before the TVs were popular among the people, there were only Radios to entertain the people. During that Radio period, Suthi Veerabhadra Rao was the entertainer through radio. He stepped into the cinema in the year 1982 through Naalugu Sthambalaata. As the employee of All India Radio, he did many Radio plays with his troupe. He lived as the character in the dramas. He has contacts with the highly profiled drama legends such as Vinnakotta Ramanna Panthulu, Vinakotta Vijayaram, CSR Anjaneyalu, Nanduri Subba Rao, Panduranga Rao and many more people. Krishna Paksham was one of his popular plays that attracted the audience. Though he was in the film industry in a short span of 6 years, he has almost completed 200 films. His knowledge in Telugu and English literature made many people to salute him with respect. Apart from dramas and cinemas, he has a good helping heart. Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao or better known by his stage name, Kondavalasa, is a popular Telugu actor and comedian and a stage drama artist. He was born as Kondavalasa Pamula Rao on August 10, 1946, in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh in India. He took an M. Com and got an acting diploma from AU. Before entering the film industry, he worked as an employee at the Visakhapatnam Trust. He later became a theatre artist and performed in over 250 stage plays and 1000 stage performances including Nijam, Tommy Tommy, Turpu Rekhali and Indian Gas to name a few. While performing in one of his plays, Allade Maa Vooru in East Godavari district, he was spotted by director Vamsy, who later offered him a role in the Telugu film, ‘Avunu Valliddaru Ista Paddaru!’ His dialogue in the film as he says, Aithe Okay, became very popular to the audience. This film got released in 2002 and since then, there is no looking back. Kondavalasa acted in over 70 films including Evare Athagadu, Ottesi Chepthunna, Donga Ramudu and Party, Inspector, Satyam, Donga Dongadi, Xtra, Mr. and Mrs. Sailaja Krishna Murthy, Sathrubbu, Evadi Gola Vadide, Pandem, Radha Gopalam, Jagapathi, Dhana 51, Raja Babu, Sri Krishna 2006, Photo, Boss, Rainbow, Gopi Gopika Godavari, Varudu, Kathi Kanta Rao, Ramadandu, Sri Vasavi Kanyaka Parameswari Charitra and a lot more. He usually appeared in most of director Vamsy’s films, and he also got the opportunity to work with top actors like Ravi Teja, Srikanth, Jagapathi Babu and many more. On November 2, 2015, the brilliant actor died at NIMS Hospital due to ill health at the age of 69. It was said that Kondavalasa has been fighting for his life for the past six months, and this was the reason he was not seen in the big screen for quite some time. He breathed his last while he was getting treated at the hospital in Hyderabad. Kondavalasa has already established himself in the film industry and his contributions as a great actor, and comedian will forever stay in everyone’s hearts.
