Mamathi Chari is a renowned television anchor, radio jockey, and an actress. She started her career on STAR Vijay’s popular talk show, Hello Tamizha. Mamathi was born on February 4, 1988, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She studied at Sacred Heart Matriculation Higher Secondary School and later attended I.P Pavlov, where she graduated Medicine.
She appeared in television shows like Jillunu Oru Jodi, Jillunu Oru Challenge, and Rani Maharani. She is currently playing the antagonist role as Kokila Swaminathan on Sun TV’s Tamil soap, Vani Rani. Mamathi has worked for television channels like Vijay TV, Raj TV, etc.
She has been a television presenter before she joined the radio station, 92.7 Big FM, where she hosted the shows Big Vanakkam and Big Alarm. She knows how to speak ten languages including French and English. She also penned a book entitled Old Madras and It’s Various Facets, which presents the Madras during the 1930s.
After her divorce, she took a hiatus from the entertainment industry and became a businesswoman. She came back to the limelight in 2017. Recently, Mamathi joined the second edition of the reality show, Big Boss Tamil. She was nominated on the second week.
