Suresh organized an "annadhanam" in which they served food to more than 1500 people of Chennai in and around the T Nagar. The actors of the movie along with the music director, cinematographer and others were present at the venue. In the same year, rumors were that AGS Entertainment is banned by the Tamil Film Producer's Council (TFPC) for giving excessive advertisements for the release of Thani Oruvan, but there came no official statement about the imposition of such ban. Kalpathi S. Aghoram currently is the Vice-President of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association. He was elected unanimously at the 85th AGM (Annual General Meeting) of the association which was held on 12th June 2015. Also worth mentioning is that this is his sixth consecutive term in the same designation i.e. being the Vice-President of TNCA. Born as Latha Rangachari, Latha is a philanthropist, film producer and a playback singer of India. She was born in Chennai and has done her Masters in English literature from Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai. She is the wife of famous Indian legendary actor Rajinikanth, who mainly works in the Tamil cinema. She first met Rajinikanth when she was a student in Ethiraj. Rajinikanth was already an established actor and Latha went to interview him for her college magazine on the sets of film Thillu Mullu. During that interview, Rajinikanth asked Latha if she would marry him and she told him to ask her parents. In Latha, Rajinikanth found his anchor. They got married on 26th February 1981. The couple has two daughters – Aishwarya R. Dhanush and Soundarya Rajinikanth, who are both in the film industry. Aishwarya is married to the popular actor and National award winner Dhanush. Being a philanthropist, she is the founder and correspondent of a Chennai-based school- The Ashram. The school started in the year 1991. She is also the chairperson of Ocher Studios, a production company started by her younger daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth. In the early 1980s, Latha started working as a playback singer in Tamil cinema. Few of her famous songs include ‘Netru Indha Neram' from Tik Tik Tik- a Kamal Haasan starred movie in 1981 and ‘Kadavul Ullamae' from Anbulla Rajinikanth in 1984. She also gave her voice to Rajini 25 in 1999, which was a musical album that celebrated the 25 years of Rajinikanth's career. She has also produced ‘Maaveeran' in 1986 and ‘Valli' in 1993. In Valli, she also sang the song ‘Kukkukoo Koovum.' She has also sung ‘Manappenin Sathiyam' from the directorial debut of her younger daughter "Kochadaiiyaan." She has also released a music album ‘Maaya Jaalam' and ‘Saraal'. Latha also has family connections with noted actor and playwright Y.G. Mahendra. Latha is his sister sister-in-law. The veteran actress of Bollywood Vyjayanthimala is also a close relative of Latha. In 2015, an FIR was filed against her. According to FIR, she has forged the documents for the dispute linked with the satellite rights of the film ‘Kochadaiiyan'. In 2016, the high court dismissed the case as no relevant documents in the complainant's support were produced.
