R S G Chelladurai, a Tamil actor, was born on November 2, 1936. His complete name is R. Samuel Gnanadoss Chelladurai. He is also known as Ayya Chelladurai. He had appeared in numerous Tamil movies. He began acting in Church acting troupes before starting his career in theatres. He worked at Government Headquarters as a day job. When his colleagues were getting chances to work with great directors, Chelladurai was continuously losing those opportunities because of his day job. He lost the chance to work with director Shankar in his earlier films. He has also worked with many famous stars, like superstar Vijay in Theri (2016) movie. He gave a memorable performance in that film. In this movie, R. S. G. Chelladurai played the role of a helpless father searching for his lost daughter. He won acclaim for his breakthrough performance in Theri. He had appeared in supporting roles in Tamil movies as a father and grandfather. It reminds the audience of their own family, which built a huge fan base for his roles. He also played a role in the movie Raja Rani, which is directed by a well-known director, Atlee.
His other movies are Bhoomi (2021), Anniyan (2005), Veyil (2006), Karuppampatti (2013), Raja Rani (2013), Kaththi (2014), Kanavu Variyam (2017), Spyder (2017), Aramm (2017), Tik Tik Tik (2018), Goli Soda 2 (2018), Airaa (2019), Natpe Thunai (2019), Karuppankaatu Valasu (2020) and, Bhoomi (2021). He died at age of 84 on April 29, 2021, because of cardiac arrest at his residence in West Chennai’s Periyar Nagar. He was found unconscious in the bathroom. His funeral service was held at CST St. James Church. His fans and co-actors expressed their sorrowful condolences on his death. R. S. G. Chelladurai left a remarkable impression on the audience with his strong performance.
