In 1970, Pendharkar earned National Film Award for Best Promotional Film for Weave Me Some Flowers, in 1987 National Film Award for Best Non-Feature Animation Film for A.B. See, in 1970 National Film Award for Best Educational/Motivational/Instructional Film for Forest and The Man, in 2010 National Film Award – Special Jury Award and Special Mention for Eka Studioche Atmavrutta, and in 1996 National Film Award for Best Historical Reconstruction and Compilation Film for Bhalji Pendharkar.
