Her father’s name is Balasaheb Patil. Shivleela performs Kirtan with her father in rural and urban parts of Maharashtra. She is well known for singing kirtans in saint literature and Marathi culture. She learned the art of kirtan from her father at the age of 5, and by the age of 10 years, she had performed in several rural and urban areas. She was in the Bigg Boss Marathi season 3 as a contestant. She mainly joined the reality show with the thought that she would remain calm and follow her spiritual goals.

She is renowned for leading Kirtans on classical literature, religious texts, contemporary social concerns, and Marathi culture.

Shivleela Patil learned Kirtan from her Kirtanker father, Balasaheb Patil, who also performs the art with her. She started the art of Kirtan at five years of age.
