Varsha Bhave received her love of music from her great-grandfather Natyacharya Kakasaheb Khadilkar and grandmother Smt. Indirabai Khadilkar. Reputable Gurus like Shri Manohar Potdar, Shri Shende, and Shri Chintubuva Mhaiskar gave her her first tuition in music. She then received 16 years of training under the knowledgeable direction of Pt. Neelkanthbuva Abhyankar. Along with her master Shri. Bhalachandra Pendharkar, Smts. Jayamala and Kirti Shiledar have also given her Natya sangeet instructions. She is currently getting advice from Pt. Shankarrao Abhyankar. In 1984, she earned a Master of Arts in Vocal Music from S.N.D.T. University. She performed classical music on various occasions all around the world.
She took part in several music events, radio and television broadcasts, as well as notable stage productions like "Baithakichi Lavni," "Devgaani," and "Natya sangeet ache Shilpakar," all of which were staged by N.C.P.A. in Mumbai. He plays the highly regarded character of "Rukhmini" in the Deval Smarak Mandir-produced play "Swayamvar." She participated in the N.C.P.A. programs "Baithakichi Lavni" and "Devgan." For the C.D.s "Paalkhichya Sange" and "Abhijat Natyasangeet," "Aatmanaad," and "Swapnanchya Manaraivar," she provided her vocals. She contributed an annual "Niragas" column for kids to the "Tarun Bharat" newspaper (Mumbai). She also wrote music for the C.D.s "Upasana-Sadhana-Aradhana," "Chand Se Baatein," and "Rashtrabhaktidhara," as well as songs for kids and spiritual songs by Dr. Anirudhha Joshi.
She won multiple honors as the finest singer and actor for her leading parts in various musical dramas on the Akashwani and Doordarshan. She was given an Award in 1995 and the Natyaparishad Award in 1996 for her depiction of Rukmini in "Sangeet Swayamvar." the 1997 "Natyadarpan prize" for her exceptional performance in Natyasangeet the esteemed 2003–2004 "Sangeetkar Ram Kadam Gaurav Puraskar." Sanskar Bharati, Sangli, presented her with an award in 2004 for her outstanding work in the music industry. In 2009, she received the "Annasaheb Ghatge Award," which bears the name of renowned film producer Shri.
Annasaheb Ghatge, Sangli. The Mumbai-based "Hariharputra Bhajan Samaj" gave her the "Samaj Shakti" award for excellence in performing arts. According to Varsha Bhave, there is a need to develop creative ways to introduce young people to and appreciate India's rich artistic legacy. She thinks Kalangan can be crucial to making this vision a reality. She aims to unite Indian music, dance, and theater under one roof and establish a university to spread these performing talents worldwide.
