Pralhad Keshav Atre is an Indian poet who worked for the Marathi film industry. He was born on 18th August 1898 in Kodit Khurd, Pune District, Maharashtra. Keshav is a multi-talented writer, poet, educationist, founder-editor of Maratha newspaper, and an orator. He completed his primary and high schooling at MES Waghire High School, Saswad. After completing his studies that is a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pune, he started his career as a school teacher. Atre also completed his teacher’s diploma from the University of London in 1928.

One of his comedy play Moruchi Mavshi was taken in the Hindi film Aunty No.1 in 1998 in which popular celebrities worked like Govinda and Ravina Tandon. Some popular biographies and novels in which he worked are Changuna in 1954, Battashi Wa Itar Katha in 1954, Hasha Ani Talya in 1958, Mi Kasa Jhalo in 1953, Atre Uwach in 1937, and many others. His contribution in the films includes Brahmachari in 1938, Shyamchi Aai in 1953, Parinde in 1945, Mahatma Phule, Premveer.
