Loknath Yashwant is a Famous Marathi Poet. Born on March 13th, 1956, he Has published Four Marathi Poems, which have been translated into various languages. The Hindi Translation of Elaan, one of his most famous poetry collection, has won the Maharashtra State’s Sahitya Academy Awards. His poems have been adpted into various pays and movies. He is mainly inspired by Ambedhkar’s Ideas and reealed a new aspect of Dalit world. He has won many awards, such as Damani Award, Daya Pawar Memorial Award, and also the Sanjeevani Khoje Memorial Poetry Award 1996. Some of his works include Jerband, which was translated from Urdu into Marathi, and Let’s Walk Again (2009).
