Pat the Bapurao is a Marathi singer as well as a poet. He was born on November 11, 1868. He was born in a Brahmin family and later married a dancer Lavani who was from a sanger background. He also composed many skits, including trendy popular skirts. In his memory, some streets in India were named Bapurao. His full name was Sridhar Bal Krishna Kulkarni. There is an album called Pat the Bapurao which consists of many songs by Chota Gandharva. A film titled Pat the Bapurao in Marathi was released in 1950.
