Arun Mhatre is a Marathi poet, lyricist, and narrator, born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, on October 25, 1954. He attended R.A. Poddar College of Commerce and Economics in Matunga, Mumbai, and the University of Mumbai. Arun Mhatre holds an M. Com degree. He wrote under the pen name Kewal Mahashabde for the publication Sanj Loksatta. In addition, he took part in the Marathwada Vidyapeeth Namantar Andolan, the Grathali Vachak Chalaval, and the Maharashtra Vidnyaan Yatra. Arun Mhatre's publications include Ritu City (1990), Go to Kavita's Village (July 31, 2001), A Koso Mile Away is the Moonlight (Anthology of Poems), and Where Are Those Days Now (Poem Collection), and Dear Bhimas (Anthology).
