Saurav Kishan a.k.a “Chhota Rafi,” as people call him, was born in 1997 in Kerala. He went to Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan to study. Later, he attended Xinjiang University in China to study medicine. His father is Sunil P Nedunghat. He has one younger brother, Vaibhav Kishan. He started learning music at the age of three. His grandfather used to play Mohammed Rafi songs, to which he got inclined in music at a very early stage. He performed his first concert on Doordarshan at three and a half years. During the pandemic, he uploaded his rendition of the song “Teri Aankhon Ke Siva Duniya Mein Rakha Kya Hain” from the movie Chirag (1969), making him a star overnight. His rendition was appreciated by many well-known singers and celebrities like Shankar Mahadevan, Anand Mahindra, former Kozhikode collector Amitabh Kant, to name a few.
