Aswathi Menon

Aswathi Menon is a film actress of Indian origin who has starred in multiple Malayalam and Tamil films. She was born in Kerela to her parents, Jaygopal Menon and Vinitha Rao. She studied in Dubai’s Varkey Group of Schools where she took to the stage for the first time and later completed her higher education in Kerela with a master’s degree in English Literature. Aswathi Menon has also done a diploma course in Film Acting at New York Film Academy, Abu Dhabi. Gradually, she started acting in Malayalam and Tamil movies. The next films that she featured in were Shambho Mahadeva, Savithriyude Aranjam , Onnoman. She made her Tamil debut via Thenkasi Pattanam. She also restarted her work in theatre through Backstage's productions Dracula, 12 Angry Jurors, Death Trap, Pillars of Society, Short plays - Last Drinks and Perfect Stillness, Theatrics Production - Dangerous Corners and also worked with Dubai Drama Group in their short play production of 10,000 Cigarettes. She was critically acclaimed as the ‘Best Actress’ and won the award for her role in Perfect stillness in the first International Short+Sweet Festival held in Dubai.
