K G Rajasekharan was a Malayalam film director and writer. He was born on 14th February 1947 in Thiruvananthapuram. Before entering the world of movies, he graduated with a B. Sc degree from Kollam S.N. college. He started his movie career by working as the assistant director in Crossbelt, Mani's Midumidukki. He has written the screenplay for two movies - Anthappuram and Pathmatheertham. He wrote the story for - Avan Oru Ahangari and Yekshi Paaru. During his career, which spanned fourteen years, he directed eighteen movies.
He made his directorial debut with Pathmatheertham. After his initial success, he went onto direct movies like Velluvily, Saahasam, Mainakam, etc. Simhadhwani, which he directed in 1992, was his last movie. He passed away at the age of 72 on 22nd March 2019.
