Roshan Prasannan

Roshan Prasannan is an Indian cinematographer. Roshan origins from the south part of India, Kerala. He works as a cinematographer for the fourth largest movie industry Mollywood, that is, Malayalam cinema. In the year 1990-1995, he completed his higher education at Sree Narayana College in Thiruvananthapuram. Further, he did Bachelor of Arts (BA - Sociology) from 1994-1997 from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi.

In the last few years, Roshan Prasannan has gained great experience working as a cameraman. He commenced his profession working as a cameraman in December 1995, as he worked NTV for one year and five months. After that, he worked as a cameraman for Middle East Television in Dubai for one year and one month. Further, he thrived as a cameraman for Surya TV (sun private limited) in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, for eight years and one month from June 1998 to 2006.

Later, in January 2006, he traveled to a foreign land of West Bromwich, United Kingdom, where he was offered the position of Senior cameraman. In the UK, he worked for “Channel Punjab” for yet another year and two months. He worked another two years in the United Kingdom as a senior cameraman for Sky732 (Noor TV).

As of now, he works for Mazhavil Manorama, an entertainment group that hosts and airs multiple reality shows, films, and fictional shows. He started working with Mazhavil Manorama in July 2011. He initially worked as DOP for the chartbuster, Amma Mazhavillu. It is a mega event packed with entertainment in affiliation with Malayalam Movie Artists hosted by Mazhavil Manorama. His most recent work was with Mazhavil Manorama for a television program known as “Made For Each Other.” It is a reality game show wherein newly-wed couples compete with each other in new, various fun, and challenging activities. He worked as DOP for the first season of the show. Over the years, Roshan Prasannan has gained a great amount of working experience in the film industry as well as others working in the position of cameraman.
