His father's name is Gopalakrishnan, and his mother is Pramila. He completed his study at SNDP school and secondary education at Aluva Boys Higher Secondary School. Gopu completed his college at De Paul Institute of Science and Technology in Angamaly. In 2015, he made his first film Mumbai Taxi, where he played a minor role. He then played many small roles in films like Thilothama and marubhoomiyile aana. The turning point of his career was the role in Churuli in 2021. in the same year, he played one character of Saji typing in Jan E Man, where his performance was a hit. In 2023, he got a leading role in the horror film Romancham and his character in this film was well-received by people.
