Shin Woo Chul is a director who is popular for his TV dramas. This South Korean director made his debut in 2004. His first drama is Lovers in Paris that broadcasted from 12th June 2004 to 15th August 2004. It featured Kim Jung-Eun, Park Shin-yang, and Lee Dong-gun in the main roles. It is a trilogy telecasted on SBS, and the second drama in the trilogy, Lovers In Prague got premiered the next year. It got aired from 24th September to 20th November 2005. It has Jeon Do-Yeon, Kim Joo-hyuk, Kim Min-jun, and Yoon Se-ah in important roles. In 2006, he released the final part in the trilogy, Lovers. It started airing from 8th November 2006 to 11th January 2007. The trilogy series took him to heights, and he grabbed the attention of a vast group of audience.

On 5th March 2008, his next series, On-Air, got premiered, and it ended on 15th May 2008. This series grabbed him the Best Director Award at the 45th Baeksang Arts Awards. In 2009, he directed The City Hall. In 2010, his directorial venture Secret Garden was premiered, and in 2011, his series, When Women Powder Twice, was aired. He received the Best Director Award for Secret Garden in 2011 at the 4th Korea Drama Awards. A Gentleman’s Dignity, his next venture, started airing on 26th May 2012 and ended on 12th August 2012.

In 2013, he directed Gu Family Book. Lee Seung-gi and Bae Suzy were seen in the lead roles. Where Stars Land in his direction started premiering on 28th September 2019, and it went off the air on 26th November 2018. It was aired on SBS, featuring Lee Je-hoon, Chae Soo-bin, Lee Dong-gun, and Kim Ji-soo in the lead roles. In 2019, he directed Melting Me Softly. Ji Chang-Wook, Won Jin-ah, and Yoon Se-ah are cast in this series, produced by Baek Mi-Kyung and Choi Yeon-Ju.
