Snowdrop is a South Korean series written by Yoo Hyun-mi and directed by Jo Hyun-Tak. It is produced by JTBC Studios and telecasted on JTBC. Jung Hae-in, Kim Ji-soo, Yoo In-na, Kim Hye-Yoon, Jang Seung-jo, Yoon Se-ah, and Jung Yoo-jin are playing the main roles.
It is a period drama set in the late 80s. In 1987, there was a mass protest held as Democracy Movement relating to the government and to host elections. Following the huge protest, the elections were held in December 1987, and it ended the authoritarian rule in the country, and the democratic rule is established. Im Soo-ho, a graduate student who was raised in Germany, took part in the protest. He was seen with bloodshed, and a University student hides him in her room to save him from the government’s punishment. He has some secret, and she doesn’t know that. Later, they develop bonding and then fell in love.
Jung Hae-in plays Im soo-ho, the German brought up college student, and Kim Ji soo plays the girl who saves him. Yoo In-na plays the role of Kang Chung-ya, a surgeon who works in a government hospital. Kim Hye-Yoon plays Kye Boon-ok, a phone operator who discontinued his college due to some financial issues. Jang Seung-jo plays the role of Lee Kang-moo, one of the leaders of the Agency for National Security Planning's Team. He follows the rules always. Yoon Se-ah plays the role of Pi Seung-hee, who works at Hosoo Women's University Dormitory. Jung Yoo-jin is seen as Jang Han-na, an ANSP agent. Yum Jung-ah is seen in a cameo role.
