John H Lee is one of the top-notch celebrities who has given great masterpieces widely appreciated by people across the globe. He is a South Korean film director and screenwriter. His acclaimed credits include A Moment to Remember (2004), Sayonara Itsuka (2010), 71: Into the Fire (2010), and Operation Chromite (2016). He was born in the year 1971 in Seoul, South Korea. He completed his schooling at one of the prestigious schools of his town and later moved to the U.S. He finished his further studies in the film school at New York University. He made his debut through the film "The Cut Runs Deep," a poetic independent film revolving around East Asian youth gangs in New York City. The Cut Runs Deep was released in Korea in 2000 and became a cult classic. This movie was vastly admired by viewers worldwide and earned him much respect from the audience. After his directional debut in the Industry, he has directed several international music videos and T.V. commercials in East Asia and Europe.

He released his second feature film, a love story titled "A Moment to Remember." This movie was Lee's first Korean-language film, a combination of a passionate, psychologically complex, and emotionally charged story about a man and a woman. Viewers immensely admired this movie, and it soon became the highest-grossing film in the romance genre in the history of Korean cinema. This movie has broken all records and is still considered by many to be a romance masterpiece in the whole of East Asia.

His next feature film was a bit experimental for him, which required considerable challenges. This movie was "Sayonara Itsuka," based on a Japanese novel of the same title. It was innovative as he made the impeccable Japanese-language film with leading Japanese actors, utilizing the best Korean film crew. This movie is counted among his blockbusters movies, which blew away the viewers' minds and attained colossal positive responses from them. His other notable works include 71: Into the Fire (2010), The Third Way of Love (2015), Operation Chromite (2016), and Jaejoong: On the Road (2021).
